May 23, 2011 Dale's Pre-K Graduation

Dale really enjoyed pre-K. So much so that he wanted to start kindergarten early in July (so he did). They had a little ceremony for the pre-K graduates. The kids sang "I hope you dance" while swinging scarves around.
Dale was really enjoying the singing.

The kids then each went up and recieved a certificate from their teachers along with an autographed photo of the pre-K teacher (who happened to be Miss New Mexico).

Here is Dale receiving his things.

Afterwards everyone ate some refreshments.

Here is the proud graduate!

Easter Fun

We had an egg hunt and barbecue at a friend's house on Saturday and then the kids found a few things in their baskets Easter day after church. They searched for their baskets this year.

Emma's first dentist visit April 5th

Emma is ready for the Dentist to check out her teeth.
The Examination

Emma's teeth were great! Dale went in too for his 2nd dentist visit and the little cavity found at his first visit on his front tooth was not any worse and the rest of his teeth looked fine, except for the extreme crowding which can not be helped at the moment. Dale always makes the dentist crack up. This time it was because of the way Dale answered when asked if he had brushed his teeth that morning. We love our dentist.

My teeth of course were great but what else is new! (insert sticky out tongue emoticon here)

Emma's 3rd Birthday Party April 9th 2011

We had a few friends over for Emma's 3rd birthday. I made her a strawberry cake with strawberry filling and a cooked flour, butter, and sugar frosting. First they decorated some royal crowns. They then played played musical pillows and ate macaroni and cheese, strawberries, and then cake. Emma enjoyed herself and was excited to have a pink princess (and prince!) party

Magic mom

I have tons of posts and photos I need to put up here but I wanted to document a funny comment Emma made to Grammie while we were in Maryland before I forget. Emma was talking out loud, complaining about something and saying Mom as if she was directing it at me. Grammie asked her if she was talking to me and when she answered in the affirmative told her that I could not here as I was outside. Emma said "Mom can here me, she is magic."

Prince and Princess

The kids are playing prince and princess right now. All of the kids, even though William is not really aware of his role in the story. If only he knew. He is Prince William and he is to marry Princess Emma. Emma is changing in and out of her fancier dresses and they are using the crib and changing table (before I nixed the second one as not safe to sit on) as a royal carriage and horse.

Dale said "Prince William is kind of young, just a baby but he will get used to being married." He has a clip on tie clipped to his t-shirt. He is the king's captain and is calling for the guards and saying William is taking a long time crawling but they will start the anniversary without him.

Now they are marching around in circles because that is what they do when they are waiting for someone.

Pic to be added later!
